1. Introduction

Divergent Labs, LLC (“Divergent Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the REVOLT point-of-sale software platform and the divergentlab.co website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

Transaction Data. When retailers use REVOLT POS, we process point-of-sale transaction records including item details, quantities, prices, tender methods, timestamps, and register identifiers. This data belongs to the retailer and is processed on their behalf.

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, business name, and business address.

Website Analytics. We collect standard web analytics data including page views, referral sources, browser type, and approximate geographic location. We do not use this data to personally identify visitors.

Support Communications. When you contact us, we retain the content of your messages, your email address, and any attachments you provide.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: operate and maintain the REVOLT POS platform; process transactions on behalf of retailers; provide customer support; improve our products and services; send service updates and security notices; comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Transaction and account data is stored on secured servers hosted by Microsoft Azure in the United States. We implement industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. POS terminal data is stored locally on the device and synchronized to our servers over encrypted connections. We retain transaction data for the duration of the retailer's subscription plus 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

5. Third Parties

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate our platform: cloud infrastructure providers (Microsoft Azure), payment processors (for card transaction routing only — we do not store full card numbers), and analytics tools. All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order.

6. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not function properly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; request data portability; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Retailers may access and export their transaction data at any time through the REVOLT backoffice dashboard. To exercise any rights, contact us at privacy@divergentlab.co.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
